The Future of Starting a Business Looks Drastically Different in 2024

Over the past 25 years, I've done the startup thing, from start to finish, over a dozen times. A few of them I've funded on my own, the rest of them I teamed up with others and we funded the thing with venture capital. I've had both high-multimillion-dollar exits and embarrassing failures, some resulting in fire and zombies. I've also advised dozens of other startups, many of those in a formal capacity as a board member or adviser. A good number of them have gone on to exit as well. Those are my bona fides. But along the way, I've also been writing about what I've learned not what I've read, not what someone told me, not what I've seen but what I've learned while founding, building, and growing startups.
